A GASTRO-GALLERY EXPERIENCE UNDER THE STARS

Immerse yourself in an ethereal winter journey high above the bustle of the city, with a unique culinary and visionary adventure. Part visual show, part transportive dining & drinking experience, Snowglow at The Dome is a cozy European winter-inspired pop-up escape with artful cocktails, comforting shareable fare and a 360-degree spectacle unlike any other.

Snowglow at The Dome takes guests on a truly unforgettable immersive 90-minute visual journey of winter landscapes and surreal northern lights. Projected above and 360 degrees around the walls of the dome, the awe-inspiring visual experience will transport the viewer to a world of winter scenes that both inspire and elate.

Northern lights, snow-filled landscapes, star-lit skies, the embers of a fire, among rustic architecture reminiscent of Swiss alpine villages, and more, all combine to provide an abstraction from the normal and an experience not soon forgotten. Each frame is designed to pull you into a different world – a place where you’re not just watching but truly experiencing the magic of winter.

THE VISUAL EXPERIENCE

At Snowglow at The Dome, drinks are an art form, with beautifully-presented cocktails, inspired by the Alpine regions of Europe.

Creativity and elegance abound, with tableside martini service, bottled walnut Manhattans, candy-garnished Grasshoppers, and an assortment of hot drinks (such as a toasted marshmallow whipped cream-topped mezcal hot chocolate, and a soothing honey schnapps-spiked hot tea tonic), designed to warm guests up from the inside out.

ARTFUL CRAFT COCKTAILS

To pair with the creative beverages, Snowglow at The Dome embraces European-inspired comfort foods, with an a la carte menu of shareable small plates from esteemed chef Nathan Beauchamp.

Find comfort in dishes such as fondue raclette, luxe lobster bisque, and seasonal smørrebrød, plus larger options like a filet-for-two. And for dessert, expect sweet fondue presentations and homemade truffles.

CHEF-DRIVEN SMALL PLATES

Located on the Rooftop at Union Market, find our 50-foot spherical dome high above the bustle of the city, heated and designed for our first activation “Snowglow” with a wintry forest-meets-chic après ski aesthetic. The 60-seat dome is outfitted with over a dozen secluded dining chalets: cozy and inviting spaces for guests to eat, drink and take in the overhead projected experience.

Lush greenery and trees evoke the feel of a winter forest landscape, accented by warm wood tones and cozy tartan textiles, plus an interactive winter ski lift backdrop for guests to capture photos. The illuminated exterior resembles a snow globe atop the vibrant market below, whimsically lit from the inside.

What is the “Snowglow” visual experience?

We worked with the talented artists at Lumenarius to create a completely original, awe-inspiring 90-minute visual European winter journey, projected overhead and 360 degrees around the walls of the dome.

The truly unforgettable immersive 90-minute display transports you through snow-filled winter landscapes, ethereal northern lights, glowing embers of a fire, rustic architecture reminiscent of Swiss alpine villages, and more, which all to pull you into a different world – a place where you’re not just watching but truly experiencing the magic of winter.

What time should I arrive for my reservation?

We highly suggest arriving at least 30 minutes before your reservation time to allow for the check-in process. We have a tented & heated reception bar exclusively for ticket-holders, where you’re welcome to come as early or stay as late as you’d like (during business hours) and enjoy drinks before or after the show!

Entry to The Dome itself will not be granted until your reservation time, and guests will be required to vacate their tables upon the conclusion of their 90-minute experience to allow for resetting of the space (but again, you’re welcome to bring your drinks to our heated lounge bar and continue to enjoy your evening with us)!

*For late arrivals, we do understand delays happen, but please note: your reservation only lasts for 90 minutes from start time (running concurrently with the visual projection show) so please try to arrive early or on time to maximize your experience!

What are your food and drink options?

For food, we embrace European-inspired comfort fare, with an a la carte menu of shareable small plates and desserts from esteemed chef Nathan Beauchamp.

For drinks, we do have a full bar, but specialize in artful cocktails (both cold and hot) inspired by the Alpine regions of Europe. We also offer spirits, beer, wine and non-alcoholic options.

Is there a food/beverage minimum spend?

No, you’re welcome to join us for a full dinner and beverage experience, casual drinks and snacks, an after-dinner drink and dessert, or just some late-night cocktails; whatever strikes your fancy!

Can I bring my own food and drink?

No, outside food or beverage is prohibited.

Is your space covered and/or heated?

Yes, Snowglow at The Dome is hosted inside a 50-foot spherical dome tent on the Rooftop at Union Market, weather-proof from the elements. It is heated to about 60 degrees, so we do recommend dressing for the weather and bringing the winter vibes to life!

Are there any age restrictions?

Yes, The Dome is 21+.

Do you host private events?

Absolutely! For events/private dining larger than 6, please email events@thedomedc.com.

How do I get to the dome?

The Dome is located at Hi-Lawn, the rooftop above Union Market. Guests can access The Dome through the (ADA accessible) elevator at the front-east entrance to Union Market (near the corner of 6th St. NE & Neal Place).

If you’re driving, we suggest parking in the garage at the Gables Union Market (the building behind us, accessible from 6th St. NE) where they offer free parking for up to 3 hours.
